By purchasing anything from the Black Cat website, or from the Team Black Cat clothing store, the customer is agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Conditions of Purchase

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Black Cat reserves the right not to accept any order.

The estimated delivery time of 2 weeks is a guideline. Refunds/discounts are not given for bats delivered outside this guideline.

Black Cat bats are protected by a one season warranty, subject to normal use and good care. The following factors will void the warranty of a bat-

i. Use of the bat for anything other than the playing or practising of the sport of cricket, for which it is intended.
ii. Incorrect preparation of the bat before use. Failure to follow the bat preparation guide on the Black Bat website will void the warranty of the bat.
iii. Improper care of the bat, such as leaving it out in the rain, or other damaging conditions.
iv. The use of cheap, or poor quality, cricket balls.
v. Toe damage arising from the 'digging out' of a yorker.
vi. Water damage (commonly at the toe area).

(In cases of dispute of any of these factors, the final warranty decision will be made by the Black Cat batmaker. Please note, attempting to dig a fingernail into the face of a bat is a good test of the bat's preparation- a correctly prepared, or 'knocked-in', bat should leave no mark.)

In cases where the warranty of the bat is void, Black Cat reserves the right to refuse to replace or repair the bat; or to offer a repair service at a cost incurred by the customer.

Bat Returns

New bat returns will be accepted if the bat has is supplied with a fault and Black Cat is responsible for such a fault. If a bat is received and is not what was ordered, the bat will be replaced provided the bat has not been used/damaged in any way (beginning the bat preparation will count as use/damage in this instance). Black Cat reserves the right to refuse to refund or exchange a bat where the bat provided is as originally described, and has no manufacturing fault.

Clothing

Black Cat assumes no responsibility for items ordered from the team black cat online store. The store is run by Spreadshirt (sprd.net AG)- Black Cat is solely responsible for designing the products.
